Raised by travellers, I have always been exposed to cultures and ideals far beyond what I knew to be the norm.These experiences have helped shape the artist I am today.

I began my artistic journey sculpting small pieces from blocks of ice and fruits and, as I grew in confidence and ability, gradually worked my way up to larger pieces; made from wood and metal to be exhibited at festivals. Through this I learnt the process of fabrication and the benefits of mixing materials to create a dynamic display.

I am proud to come from a land so rich in natural beauty and always aim to stimulate the mind with all that I have seen, both at home and on my travels.I aim to integrate important aspects of local culture from places I have been into my work.

A noticeable example being Khadi Cloth from India. An important part of the culture and society for hundreds of years and a key material in the country’s struggle for independence in the 1940s. Through these pieces I merge East and West as I tackle the issues of immigration, society and climate change.

Alongside this, I address the ideas of power, love and the human condition in the hope that all who view it will find some solace in art, as I have.
